Choosing Sources of Hospital Equipment for Sale

Finding hospital equipment for sale is about more than just finding the best price. Any vendor you choose for products from new medical ventilators to refurbished portable x-ray machines should have a good reputation and years of experience. Hospital equipment is about saving lives and making patients' lives better. To do that you need a vendor that is reliable and reputable.

Is the Inventory Sufficient?

Fortunately, it is easy to check up on a hospital equipment vendor's inventory. In most cases you can tell by visiting their website which items are in stock and which are backordered. It's good to establish a relationship with a hospital equipment vendor with a generous inventory. That way if you are pleased with their service, you can buy from there again without having to worry excessively about whether an item is in stock.

How is Used Equipment Refurbished?

Any used hospital or medical equipment you purchase should be refurbished to original equipment manufacturer (OEM) specifications, with no exceptions. The best sellers of refurbished hospital equipment employ biomedical engineers with the technical and medical know-how to make their used equipment exactly like new. If a vendor won't disclose their refurbishment process, then it's time to look elsewhere.

What about Parts and Warranties?

A trustworthy vendor of hospital and medical equipment (new or used) should be willing to back their products up with a promise of parts availability and industry standard warranties whether you're ordering used EEG machines or new medical ventilators. They should carry liability insurance and be up front with you about the specific warranties and parts situation for the equipment you order from them. If a company is evasive about these things, you should shop somewhere else.

What Is Their Customer Service Like?

There is nothing wrong with calling a customer service number before ordering from a vendor. You can see for yourself how promptly they answer calls, and how helpful they are. A superior hospital equipment vendor will be happy for you to check out their customer service practices for yourself because they know how important customer service is to total customer satisfaction.
